Yesterday ended the short but intense week of the ICOM 24th General Conference in Italy, Milan.
We were present and it was a very rewarding experience for us. We’ve seen many colleagues and partners and we also heard and saw a lot of interesting things about cultural property conservation and about museums and their collections, not to mention cultural landscapes.
Two highlights during this general conference: 1 the #WhereICOMfrom exhibition to celebrate the ICOM 70th anniversary and 2 the new ICOM brand identity.
In ICOM you do not work, you have funBetter yet, as stated in the ICOM definition of "museum", you enjoy it. ICOM is not only an international organization of institutions and people but it’s also and especially a dream and an ideal.
2 This year ICOM changes its skin: a new logo. An universal and simple logo. A Mwhich illustrates unity in diversity. A M like museum, a place of universalism par excellence.
